Welcome to my gastronomic world

Welcome to Ken's Food from the Road blog.

So I travel way too much and I really love food and cooking.

My Instagram and Facebook friends see some of what I eat in restaurants and create in the kitchen in my hotel rooms.  The hotel room creations have a higher degree of difficulty as all that the hotel (usually Homewood Suites) supply as cooking facilities are a two burner electric stove (ugh electric stoves) and a microwave.

They do usually supply a full size refrigerator which is a blessing.

When I am driving I brin my cooking knives, spices and a crock pot ( there will be blog entries dedicated to the joys of crockpot cooking).

So here's to my first blog post(Yeah me!)

I cannot be held responsible for any damages to your waistline or psyche by your reading of this blog and viewing the pictures attached!

See below for a sample of what I can do in a hotel room

Some of my favorite sayings (which become evident in the blog) are:

Portion control is highly over rated

Growing up is highly overated

Restaurants that serve dessert portions in excess should be avoided

Veni, Vedi, Edi

(I came, I saw, I ate for those of you who do not know how to use google translate)
